Booking Terms and Conditions
By confirming a booking, all participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
1. Price
The price/rate applies according to the date and year issued and may change at any time without prior notice.
Price changes may be required due to fuel costs, exchange rates, taxes, government regulations, and other costs beyond the control of Komodo Boat Tour.
2. Reservations & Deposit
All reservations must be made by email or online reservation form.
A deposit is required as follows:
Sharing Trip: 30% deposit
Private Charter: 50% deposit
The deposit must be paid no later than 2 days after the reservation date.
Payment can be made by bank transfer to our Indonesian bank account. Bank account details will be provided on the corresponding invoice.
Komodo Boat Tour is not responsible for any bank charges or transfer costs incurred by clients when making deposit or balance payments.
If the required deposit is not received within the stated period, Komodo Boat Tour reserves the right to automatically offer the reserved spots to other guests.
Payment of the Balance
- The remaining balance must be paid 20 days prior to the departure date.
- If full payment is not received by this deadline, Komodo Boat Tour may cancel the booking and apply the applicable cancellation policy.

3. Short-Notice Bookings
- For reservations made less than 20 days prior to departure, full payment must be made at the time of booking.
4. Documentation & Media Consent
- All participants agree to be photographed and/or recorded during the trip.
- Komodo Boat Tour reserves the right to use such documentation for promotional and marketing purposes.
5. Cancellation Policy
Refund Basis
- Refund percentages apply to Funds Received, meaning the amounts actually received by the Operator after deduction of applicable payment gateway or bank charges.
- Third-party costs such as air tickets, hotels, visas, insurance, and other external services are excluded from the refund calculation.

6. Substitute Guest
- If a guest is unable to participate in a booked trip, the reservation may be transferred to another person.
- The replacement guest will be subject to the same contract conditions of Komodo Boat Tour.
- Guest substitution is permitted up to 3 days prior to the departure date.
- Komodo Boat Tour accepts no responsibility for changes to bookings that were not made by Komodo Boat Tour on behalf of the guest.
7. Conditions Before Departure & No-Show
- If a guest does not arrive at the designated meeting point, such as the airport, harbor, or boat, Komodo Boat Tour staff will wait for up to 2 hours if informed, or as much as reasonably possible depending on the scheduled departure time.
- A guest who does not show up is considered a last-minute cancellation, and no refund will apply.
8. Alternative Boat Arrangement
If the minimum number of participants is not met, or an unexpected mechanical issue occurs, Komodo Boat Tour reserves the right to provide an alternative boat of similar or higher standard without cancelling the scheduled departure date.
Price Adjustment After Contract Confirmation
Under exceptional and unforeseeable circumstances, Komodo Boat Tour reserves the right to adjust the agreed contract price.
9. Force Majeure
Komodo Boat Tour reserves the right to cancel a trip due to force majeure (based on official annaouncement by Harbor Master) , including:
- Natural disasters
- Epidemics
- War
- Riots
- Strikes
10. Changes to Itinerary & Services
Komodo Boat Tour reserves the right to modify the itinerary during the trip due to weather or safety reasons.
No refund will be provided for unused services resulting from such itinerary changes.
11. Complaints
Any complaints regarding the services provided must be:
- Reported immediately onboard, or
- Submitted in writing within 5 days after the trip.
12. High Season Conditions
During high season, popular destinations such as:
- Padar Island
- Pink Beach
- Komodo Island
- Manta Point
may be crowded. Komodo Boat Tour is not responsible for crowd conditions at these destinations.
13. Additional Policies
A fuel surcharge may apply in cases of itinerary changes or increases in fuel prices.
14. Liability & Responsibility
14.1 Komodo Boat Tour Liability
Komodo Boat Tour is not responsible for:
- Schedule changes caused by external factors
- Loss, damage, or delay of baggage by airlines or hotels
- Loss or damage of personal belongings during the trip
- Itinerary changes caused by force majeure
14.2 Participant Responsibility
Guests are responsible for any loss or damage to boat facilities and equipment, including life jackets, snorkelling gear, and other provided equipment. All participants must follow the instructions of the Tour Leader throughout the trip.
14.3 Prohibited Behaviour
The use of illegal drugs or any disruptive behaviour toward other guests will result in immediate removal from the trip without refund.
15. Agreement
By registering for a trip with Komodo Boat Tour, participants acknowledge that they have: Read, understood, and agreed to all Terms & Conditions of Komodo Boat Tour.
